The Native Project

The NATIVE Project/NATIVE Health has successfully launched a Capitol Campaign to raise money to build the new clinic next door to the Native Project which doubled medical, treatment, and youth services, uniting the two branches under one roof. The NATIVE Project saved $200,000/year in unrestricted donations to designate towards the new building. Grants were written to fund the new building with eight large grants being awarded to the capital campaign totaling in $1,188,000. The total cost of the new building is 3.9 million dollars with a remaining balance of $300,000 left to raise. The expanded building houses a multi-purpose room for culture, prevention, treatment, conferences, meetings, summer programs, wellness programs, & the leadership program. There is also an administration area next to the walking track upstairs, a prevention center next to the gathering room, a health education and student library, 11 medical exam rooms, 1 larger lab room, a nurse’s station, 4 more treatment rooms, 2 more mental health rooms, a dental clinic and an on-site pharmacy. The total size of the new building is 18,000 sq. ft. It took a team of dedicated professionals to match services that the NATIVE Project/NATIVE Health Clinic of Spokane offers to the community in alignment with the original intentions of the Native Project’s vision statement. I would like to thank all of our board members, sponsors, donors, staff & the community for all of the hard work and dedication they put into creating the new NATIVE Health Clinic of Spokane.
